Application scenarios
Red Mud Sedimentation in Bauxite Processing
Enhanced Clarity of Sodium Aluminate Liquor
During the bauxite mineral processing, after the bauxite is dissolved, a mixed slurry of red mud and sodium aluminate is formed. Flocculant products are mainly used in the red mud sedimentation stage to promote the flocculation of red mud into flocs in the slurry, facilitating solid-liquid separation.
Solution
During the separation process, the addition of flocculants enhances the throughput capacity of sedimentation tanks, ensures the smooth flow of liquid, effectively reduces the suspended solids in sodium aluminate solution, and improves the throughput of leaf filters. In the washing process, flocculants significantly increase the solids content of the underflow, enhance washing efficiency, and facilitate better recovery of alkali and alumina from the adhering liquid.
