Hydraulic fracturing of oil and gas wells refers to the principle of pressure transmission through liquids. On the surface, high-pressure equipment is used to inject viscous fracturing fluid into the oil reservoir at a rate exceeding the reservoir’s absorption capacity. When the wellbore pressure gradually increases beyond the formation fracture pressure, one or several horizontal or vertical fractures are created in the oil reservoir. It is currently an important technical measure for increasing production in oil and gas wells and enhancing injection in water injection wells, both domestically and internationally. Fracturing fluid friction reducers and thickeners have also evolved from early guar gum systems to high-molecular-weight polymer products.
