On October 15, 2025, the 2025 Annual Meeting of the National Functional Polymer Industry Committee and the Industry Development High-Level Technology Forum was successfully held in Qingdao, Shandong Province. Experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and leading industry representatives from across China’s water-soluble polymer sector gathered to focus on the theme “Industry Leaders Unite: Review and Outlook, Overcoming Challenges Together to Create a New Industry Landscape.” Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge technologies and future trends in the field. As a co-organizer, Shandong Nuoer Biotechnology Co., Ltd. played an active role in conference organization and academic exchange, promoting innovative collaboration within the industry and providing comprehensive support to ensure the successful convening of the forum.

At the meeting, Gu Shiyou, President of the National Functional Polymer Industry Committee, delivered an opening address. He noted that intensifying internal competition within the industry has created significant pressure, but has also injected new vitality, effectively driving innovation and development across the sector. Having been established for 29 years, the National Functional Polymer Industry Committee has continued to expand its influence. He expressed his hope that all stakeholders would use this annual meeting as an opportunity to strengthen communication and collaboration, work together in unity, and promote the sustained advancement of the industry.

Rong Minjie, Chairman of the Nuoer Group, delivered a welcome address on behalf of the co-organizer. He first extended his warmest welcome and heartfelt thanks to all new and long-standing friends who had traveled from afar. He noted that serving as a co-organizer of this major event was not only a recognition of Nuoer by the industry, but also a responsibility the company willingly embraces.
He pointed out that the competitive landscape is undergoing accelerated differentiation, with the industry facing multiple pressures including fluctuations in market demand, structural transformation, volatility in raw material costs, and increasing requirements related to environmental protection and sustainability. For companies within the industry, he emphasized that only by strengthening R&D and innovation and optimizing product portfolios can they remain competitive amid ongoing transformation.
He expressed his hope that participants would speak freely, exchange ideas, and pursue win–win cooperation, working together to improve the industry ecosystem and promote high-quality development across the sector.

Researchers including Chen Tao, Research Fellow at the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, along with many other industry experts, delivered keynote presentations at the conference, bringing the latest insights into technologies and applications to the sector. As a leading innovator in the field of water-soluble polymer materials, Nuoer Biotech contributed several high-profile academic presentations at this annual meeting, fully demonstrating the company’s leading position in core technologies.

Among the presentations, Jiang Shoubin, Director of the Papermaking Division of Nuoer Biotech, delivered a report titled “Efficient Application Technologies of Polyacrylamide in the Pulping and Papermaking Process,” in which he systematically outlined the company’s independently developed functional polyacrylamide products.
In addition, Hu Chunli and Na Zhiqiang from Nuoer Biotech’s Oilfield Chemicals Division addressed key technical challenges in the oilfield sector, presenting thematic reports titled “Applications of Polymers in the EOR Stage” and “Innovation and Practice of Fracturing Fluid Formulation Using Produced Water from Oilfields,” respectively.
